and a magnifying glass to examine the intricacies of paperweight
design. Every IPS member receives an official membership card.

at no charge.
A free stand with every weight purchased.
How does my membership benefit
the art form?
The IPS sponsors programs that introduce new collectors to the
art form, while enriching the enjoyment of its members. All great
art forms are associated with learning. As a patron of the art
form, you support paperweights in exciting ways!
Museum Exhibits
Our first exhibit, The Art of the PaperweightChallenging
Tradition, traveled to six museums across the United States
and Europe over a two-year period. It introduced an estimated
80,000 people to paperweights.
Library Donation Program
Upon request, we donate copies of All About Paperweights
to the local library of any Society member. Making paperweight
literature available to the public keeps the art form vital and
growing.
Paperweight Slide Show
We recently created a slide show that makes any collector an
instant expert on paperweights. The slide show is available on
loan to IPS members, and is ideal for presenting your hobby to
any organization or social group. Preview the internet version
of the slide show on the web at www.paperweight.com.
Paperweight Public Relations
We regularly send out press releases promoting paperweights to
over 800 magazines and newspapers. Our efforts prompt articles
in numerous publications and on many television shows.
International Paperweight Society Foundation Museum
Many collectors fondly recall seeing their first paperweight
when they visited a museum. A portion of your membership dues
supports the International Paperweight Society Foundation Museum,
the only museum on the West Coast devoted exclusively to paperweights.
The IPSF museum features rotating exhibits that offer seasoned
collectors an opportunity to view prominent collections. At the
same time, it educates new collectors about the art form. Help
this newly founded non-profit museum grow!
Membership will further enhance your enjoyment of
collecting paperweights!
